My first computer was an IBM System 370 kindly supplied by Royal Insurance.  This encounter led to a permanent facination with databases.  After 10 years in property management I became a full-time IT professional in 1994.  Since then I have held a variety of roles including database developer, software support consultant, dba, techical project manager and programme manager.  I worked on and implemented a variety of corporate systems including Finance & e-Procurement, Public Safety, Property Management, Sharepoint and Location Management using gazetteers and mapping systems.

I am now Technical Director of a Cambridge-based start-up, G S I Technologies specialising in .NET application & BI development using SQL Server.

I am a qualified Prince 2 practitioner and chartered member of the British Computer Society.

I have two teenage children, two dogs and a cat and when time permits(!!) am a keen cyclist.
