Chirag is a Microsoft Certified Master in SQL Server 2008 and works as Senior SQL DBA at UBS.

Prior to joining UBS, Chirag worked at Coeo who are a Microsoft Gold Partner providing SQL Server consulting and Remote DBA services to customers who outsource management and 24x7 operations of their SQL Server platform.  Chirag specializes in delivering and maintaining mission and business critical SQL Server solutions for customers in a variety of industry sectors throughout Europe.

Prior to joining Coeo, Chirag worked for two years with the Totaljobs Group Ltd as SQL DBA Team Lead. He managed a highly successful high pressure operation's DBA team which managed over 30 production servers 24x7. He was responsible for looking after the health of the SQL environment and manage various database projects involving troubleshooting, performance tuning, monitoring, optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, replication, clustering, version upgrades and migration. He has worked with SQL Server since 1999 from SQL 6.5 to SQL 2008 R2 with industries like online travel brands, online job boards, garment manufacturing, debt collection, and teaching.

Chirag currently also holds the MCITP: Database Development and Administration for SQL 2005/2008//2012/2014/2016.

In this session we will look under the hood and gain indepth understanding about Transactional Replication architecture and its corresponding components like logreader and distribution agents, Reader/Writer threads, etc. We will learn methods of identifying and monitoring replication latency and methods of troubleshooting and eliminating bottlenecks to improve Replication Performance.
