Previous Sessions

Business Rules and SharePoint Workflow with Master Data Services
This session will be an in-depth look at what the MDS business rules are and how they work, including a series of demos and guidance on how the rules are built. SharePoint Workflow will also be covered, as MDS can initiate a SharePoint workflow.

Master Data Services in SQL Server Denali
Master Data Services has been given an overhaul in Denali, including a new Excel add-in and modified web front-end. Come to this session to see how MDS can be used to give greater control and process to your BI/DW dimension management.

End to End Master Data Management with SQL Server Master Data Services
The heart of this session will be an end-to-end technical demo that will show the role of MDS in extracting master data from source systems, before demonstrating how data is fed via MDS to subscribing downstream systems. Whilst the focus of the session will be on MDS, other parts of the Microsoft BI stack will be shown, in order to demonstrate how a Microsoft MDM solution complements existing parts of SQL Server.
