Migrating my favorite past project from On Premise to Azure
A few years ago I had a client with a data need and I built an IaaS solution. Now, it would have been an ideal fit for a PaaS approach using Azure DB, Stream Analytics and Power BI. This session demos and explains why.
This short session is a hands-on demo of how I migrated a solution from IaaS to PaaS. The original solution used FTP, SSIS, SQL DB, and Reporting Services based. The need was a perfect fit for a PaaS approach based on Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Azure DB and Power BI. I explain why and demo how I built the new solution.
