Microsoft Fabric: The Big Picture in One Frame
Proposed session for SQLBits 2026TL; DR
Session uses a single, carefully designed slide as a visual guide to introduce Microsoft Fabric, then move quickly into live demonstrations to show how it works in practice
Session Details
Are you hoping to watch a one-slide session about Microsoft Fabric instead of sitting through a slide overload?
If so, this session is for you. We’ll use a single, carefully designed slide as a visual guide to introduce Microsoft Fabric, then move quickly into live demonstrations to show how it works in practice.
Topics covered include:
- Finding your way around the Microsoft Fabric environment
- Exploring the different workloads and how they fit together
- Newer types of workloads and concepts such as ontologies
- Using Microsoft Fabric alongside other services such as Azure DevOps and Purview
The familiar SQLBits slides will still appear where required — including the title slide, sponsors, bio, and feedback slides.
However, all of the core content will be delivered using one visual slide and live demos in Microsoft Fabric, keeping the session focused, clear, and easy to follow.
By the end of the session, attendees will leave with a solid understanding of Microsoft Fabric and how the different components connect, without the distraction of excessive slides.
