An Introduction to Data Vault

Data Vault Modeling is a database modeling method that is designed to provide long-term historical storage of data coming in from multiple operational systems. It's the flexible layer that sits between source data and a data warehouse. In this session we'll look at what it is, what it looks like, how you might go about building a Data Vault, why you may (or may not) want to and how it can help us improve our data modelling either way.
