Just SQLBits things (Part 1!?)

SQLBits is not your average conference. And if you’ve been, you know. But what are those ‘just SQLBits things’ that everyone comes away talking about? We’ve listed our top five below – read on to see if you agree!

  1. The choice of sessions is mind blowing. Creating a personalised agenda beforehand via the event’s delegate hub and factoring in regular brain breaks is a must to avoid going into complete decision paralysis once you actually arrive. Plus, any sessions you miss, you can catch up via VOD after the event.
  2. There are some truly great minds at SQLBits, and you can just walk right up to them and ask your questions. These are often the folks who have built some of the tech you’ll be using in your roles today, who are at SQLBits to share their knowledge and help the community. It’s an opportunity like no other.

3. The sponsors are chill like that. No really – unlike other conferences, the SQLBits sponsors tend to send their technical team who can actually have in-depth conversations about their tech and products – you’re highly unlikely to be pounced on by sales people, to most of our attendees’ great relief. (We recommend researching beforehand who you’d like to speak to so you can make time to go and see them at the event.) Which brings us on to our fourth point…

4. Swag at SQLBits is top tier. Not only does SQLBits give out limited edition merch to all delegates, sponsors go to town with lego, socks, lego, cupcakes, lego, stickers and did we mention lego? There’s also a daily prize draw where you can win some seriously desirable prizes. Make sure to visit all the sponsors to enjoy a maximum haul.

5. How could we leave this til last…anyone who’s been knows that SQLBits is seriously FUN. From the expo hall’s giant board games to the legendary Friday night party, if your colleagues knew how downright enjoyable this conference is and how nice people are, they’d all want to come along.
