We’re thrilled to share the incredible impact of SQLBits on Momentum’s Project PiamBrown! Thanks to the generosity of the SQLBits community, they raised a staggering £8,209.78 through donations, swag sales, and feedback nominations.
This incredible sum will be directly invested into Project PiamBrown, a vital initiative dedicated to supporting children and young people with cancer through the power of exercise and physical activity.
What Does This Mean?
The funds raised at SQLBits are being channeled into their PB-Active program, where they’ve been making significant strides in rehabilitating children through exercise therapy right on the ward. But that’s not all!
We’re incredibly excited to announce that the generous support from everyone at SQLBits has enabled them to move on to the next phase of PB-Active. This means taking exercise therapy beyond the hospital walls and into a more natural, non-clinical setting.
Early results are overwhelmingly positive! The children and their parents are absolutely loving the opportunity to experience the benefits of exercise in a fresh, inspiring environment.
The Momentum team have been out and about recently, including at the Young Carers Festival – now if this sounds familiar, it’s because funds raised for Harts Voluntary Action by Guy in a Cube selling tickets for SQLBits 2024 meant that some of their young carers got to attend the festival. You can read all about that here – it’s certainly a small world!
