Medallion architecture
This session discusses the Medallion architecture of modern data platforms. You will learn what the Medallion architecture is, and you will also learn about its variations and why they might make sense.
Most companies that build a data platform claim to create a Medallion architecture, but there are as many variations on the Medallion architecture as there are companies.
In this interactive session, we will discuss the Medallion architecture. What are the principles of the architecture? Why do you need or want a Medallion architecture? Which variations make sense, and which do not?
This session is for data architects and data engineers. You will learn design guidelines for building a data platform that is scalable and resilient. You will learn about the different design choices you need to make, and you will gain arguments that will help you decide.
