Building Intelligent Data Solutions with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry
Proposed session for SQLBits 2026TL; DR
See how Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry bring AI directly into your data platform.Using invoice data, we’ll demonstrate document understanding, semantic search, and natural-language queries with a Fabric Data Agent.
Session Details
This demo-driven session shows how AI can be embedded directly into a modern data platform using Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry.
We will demonstrate:
* Microsoft Foundry – providing the AI models to read, extract, classify, and semantically understand invoice documents
* Microsoft Fabric – storing, transforming, and governing invoice data in OneLake using Lakehouse, pipelines, and notebooks
* Fabric Data Agent – enabling natural-language questions over trusted invoice data
* Semantic search – allowing users to instantly find invoices, overdue payments, and cash-flow risks
The session focuses on practical, end-to-end demos, showing how these services work together to deliver intelligent insights without complex custom solutions.
