I work as part of a team that has worked on thousands of installations of Ola’s famous scripts, which is the most common way of running maintenance on a SQL Server instance. As a huge fan of this solution I have immersed myself in its use, and have many practical insights to get the best out of this incredibly useful resource.
The scripts out of the box work beautifully and have transformed many a SQL Server, but, how do you get the best out of them? What are the lessons learnt from spending all these years working with this solution on hundreds of different customer sites?
