Unexpected SQL + documentation workflows with AI agents (Codex, Copilot and beyond)
Proposed session for SQLBits 2026TL; DR
Live demos of AI agents that document legacy SQL/code and answer questions from your internal wiki (alike) knowledge. Running unattended to enable onboarding, impact analysis and “ask the system” troubleshooting with a practical adoption blueprint.
Session Details
My research in agent-based AI revealed how Codex Cloud and Copilot Agents can generate documentation on legacy SQL and backend code but also how the agents rock at answering ad-hoc questions based decades of wiki knowledge (and only that knowledge, no hallucination...well almost none).
This full demo session shows the difference between Codex Cloud and Copilot Studio, showing how AI agents can run unattended on SQL and documentation and create new workflows that teams didn’t realize were possible.
From onboarding and impact analysis to “ask the system” troubleshooting across code, data, and knowledge bases. Come to my session for the side-by-side demos and leave with a clear blueprint for where agents can save your team hours.
Fast AI Moving Disclaimer: By the time I present this, the tools (and their names) might have changed. Don’t worry—the demos still land. Probably.
