The importance of looking after yourself

Most people understand the need for technical maintenance and keeping their skills up to date, but they don't look after themselves. When someone asks how you're doing, your answer is probably a lie. Let's be honest with ourselves in this session I want to make you think about that. Let's talk about physical health. It's easy to ignore when you are busy and stressed. Remote working can make it worse. As a disclaimer, I'm not a medical person. I do however have plenty of personal experience.

Let's be honest with ourselves in this session I want to make you think about that. Let's talk about physical health. It's easy to ignore when you are busy and stressed. Remote working can make it worse. What can you do to improve your situation and why should you bother? By paying attention to your physical health, not only can you reduce physical stress and pain, it can improve how you feel, help with anxiety, improve your relationships and keep yourself mobile. All of these will help you to perform better at work, making you feel more energized and more productive. As a disclaimer, I'm not a medical person. I do however have plenty of personal experience. In this session, I discuss some of the challenges that we all face, together with suggestions that have helped me.
