DevOps essentials for DBAs

What does DevOps means for DBAs? In this session, we will go through challenges DBAs may face when they start their DevOps journey and tools / processes they need to be aware of for helping their organisations make strides in innovation.

DBAs have traditionally been the gatekeepers for the data due to importance of databases in a system and de facto a siloed role in many organisations. But IT industry is a change machine and DBA role should evolve with the raise of cloud native systems, distributed environments and DevOps. But what does it mean exactly for DBAs and for DevOps teams? In this session, I propose to explain challenges DBAs may face when they start their DevOps journey and tools / processes they need to be aware of for helping their organisations make strides in innovation.
