SQLBits is set to return to the ICC Wales next year, running once again in a four day event from the 22-25 April 2026.
Set in Newport, just outside the historical and cultural hub of Cardiff, the ICC boasts the advantage of a wealth of new hotels available nearby, good transport links, beautiful surroundings and airy, modern event space. As was the case in 2023, SQLBits will take over the whole of the ICC, meaning exclusive access to its session rooms, auditorium, expo halls and numerous breakout spaces, which for 2026 include its newly built woodland walks and wonder pods.

Outside of the access to 100s of world class speakers and sessions that comes with a SQLBits pass, visitors will be spoilt for choice in what to do in their spare time, with golf and a spa day top of the menu at the adjoining Celtic Manor Resort, visiting a Roman fortress or Tredegar House in Newport, or travelling a little further afield to the famous Barry Island and the golden sands of Whitmore Bay Beach.
Those looking for fine dining should plan to fit in a seating at Gorse, Cardiff’s newest Michelin starred restaurant and eateries also abound slightly closer to home in Newport.
SQLBits itself follows the 2025 format of four days, featuring training days running alongside general sessions and a line up of world class speakers and sessions focusing on the technologies and emerging trends essential for data professionals, along with a line up of evening networking events. 2023 featured a Welsh whisky tasting from local distillery Penderyn as we headed into the pub quiz, and the team are busy planning similarly outstanding moments for 2026.
Tickets for SQLBits 2026 will be available to buy from the 2nd September, featuring a Super Early Bird launch price available for a limited amount of time.
Back for 2026 are the very popular hotel and full conference pass packages, allowing attendees to book their attendance and their accommodation in one easy step. Hotels include the 5* Celtic Manor Resort with its spa and golf course, the newly remodelled Coldra Court with its Southern inspired smokehouse dining, and other options, which will be confirmed when tickets go on sale.
