You can check out the full list of fun stuff to do here under Activities – the best part is it’s all included (including a free flowing Coke and slushy wall!)

We know you’re bound to have lots of questions so we’ve included the answers to many of them below:
Where is it?
The SQLBits party is at Gravity Max Westfield Stratford City – maps link here. Make sure you head to the Gravity at Westfield in Stratford and not any of the others around the country! You can take a virtual tour of the venue here – and yes, it is as amazing as it looks!
When is it?
On the Friday of SQLBits, 20th June from 19:30 – 00:00.
Why have you gone offsite from the ExCel?
Simply put, we didn’t have a suitable space at the ExCel for this year’s party, so we needed to go offsite or not have a party. Having done many visits, we can confidently say Gravity Max is an incredibly exciting venue to be holding the party at – we get to take over and run wild around the whole thing for the night!

How do I get there?
You can hop on a DLR from either Prince Regent or Custom House. There are direct trains to Stratford, but generally the quicker option is to change at Canning Town, so take the first DLR West should be to Bank, Tower Gateway, Stratford or Canning Town and if not on a direct train change at Canning Town for Stratford . Once at Stratford there it’s a short walk up and over the bridge to Gravity Max. We’ll be sharing more detailed instructions in due course.
You can also take an Uber from the ExCel – the cost when we did this was around £22.
I need help getting there
If you need help getting to the party drop us a line on contactus@sqlbits.com and we will make sure we get you there so you can enjoy the fun.
What’s the cost?
There’s no cost to attend the party and all the activities are free. As ever you will need money for the bar and there are some arcade machines that give out actual prizes that you will need money for if you’d like to play.

How do the activities work?
Just rock up to give it a try. If it’s already in use by another group, one of the Gravity team will let you know what time to come back. You will need to pre-book for some activities like the go-karts and we’ll share more information on that soon.
Will there be food and drink?
Yes; the menu will be confirmed shortly but expect arcade worthy hot dogs, nachos and snacks inspired dining. Enjoy a welcome drink on us, as well as free soft drinks and slushies from the Coke wall all night! There will be a paying bar, as usual. Please note, there’s a strict policy on not driving the go-karts after you’ve had a drink so if that’s top of your list, make sure to hit the go-karts early in your night.

What else is in the area?
Gravity Max is based in the huge Westfield Stratford City. There’s shops galore, tonnes of bars and restaurants to go before, after or even during the SQLBits party. More information about what’s in the area here.
Will there be a quiet space?
Gravity Max is a busy and vibrant venue without doubt. However we’ve done our best to create a quieter area on the Mezzanine floor where we’ve turned the music down, there’s low level lighting and booths to tuck away in. You can view the space in the virtual tour here.
Is it fancy dress (costume party)?
Gravity Max perfectly embodies our 2025 theme of Neon, so whatever you would like to do to embrace that theme, we welcome – please feel free to dress up as much or as little as you like.

Can I come on my own?
Yes absolutely, you are very welcome. There’ll be loads of friendly people to talk to or join in activities with, and the Buddies are likely to be organising groups – more on that soon.
Can we come as a work group?
We very much hope you do! SQLBits is a fantastic way for teams to have some fun together, especially this year with so many activities to try out.
Can I bring a friend or family?
You can – but as we’re off site at a limited capacity venue and we have to assess numbers for catering, we ask that you let us know how many people are coming via our pre-booking process, tbc soon.
How do I get a ticket?
Everyone’s invited, but we do have capacities and need to know how many we are catering for; you’ll be able to use the Attendee Hub, to be launched imminently, to confirm you’re attending and get your ticket.
I have more questions!
Let us have them on contactus@sqlbits.com. We really hope you’re as excited about this party as we are; we’ve worked hard to find an amazing alternative and think the small element of travel to Gravity will be well worth it.
