Find Your People in the Community Hub at SQLBits

Something new is landing in the Community Hub this year at SQLBits. Throughout the week, we’re introducing daily “Find Your People” tables; a simple, welcoming space to sit down, connect, and have real conversations with others who share your interests, challenges, or experiences.

Each lunchtime, a small number of topics will be hosted at dedicated tables, giving you a chance to dive into meaningful discussions. We’ll be using a Lean Coffee-style approach to shape the conversations, meaning you can suggest topics and vote on the ones you most want to discuss throughout the week.

Visit the Community Hub on Wednesday to vote for Thursday’s discussions and so on throughout the week. Just head over to the Community Hub in the morning, add your ideas or vote for the ones that resonate, and help shape the agenda.

Some of the fascinating topics already suggested include:

  • AI adoption and AI fatigue
  • Governance and data maturity (perception vs reality)
  • Power BI performance and real-world challenges
  • Getting buy-in and proving ROI on data projects
  • Solo data professionals and remote-first teams
  • Career changers, returners, and early-career journeys
  • Women in data and LGBTQ+ in data
  • Neurodivergent experiences and invisible disabilities
  • Imposter syndrome, confidence, and mental health at work

It’s a mix of technical, professional, and human conversations, intended to be quick, interactive, and designed to make it easier than ever to find common ground with your peers. If there’s something you’ve been wanting to talk about, this is your chance to bring it to the community.
