Memory is one of the most confusing and least understood topics for SQL Server. In this session, we will discuss and demonstrate tools and techniques for memory related problems that can occur with the SQL Server Database Engine based on actual customer scenarios as seen by Microsoft support. We will cover both the basics and advanced topics of the memory architecture of SQL Server and demonstrate and teach you the tools and metrics to have a more complete understanding of SQL Server memory. This session can also help prepare you to monitor and manage memory consumption of your SQL Server to be proactive and prevent problems before they occur.
