I have been working with Microsoft BI tools since mid 2006 thereby mainly focusing on Microsoft SQL Server and its components, primary Analysis Services. In 2012 I achieved the SSAS Maestro certification and also received the Microsoft Community Contributor (MCC) award the second time in a row. With the release of SQL Server 2012 and Power BI I started shifting my focus towards there, especially to Power Pivot and DAX thereby also investigating into SSAS Tabular Models in detail. At about the same time I did my first steps with Windows Azure while trying to combine it with the other technologies I am by now already very familiar with.

Gerhard Brueckl has submitted 2 sessions for SQLBits XIV, although the agenda hasn't been chosen yet. See all submitted sessions.

Pending Sessions

To predict the performance of a SSAS cube in advance before moving it to production you should run some load tests first. What you have to consider and how to actually run a load test against Analysis Services will be shown in this session.
SAP HANA is ubiquitous nowadays and its market share is growing steadily. But being foremost a backend technology opens the trail for other frontend tools like Office 365 &Power BI. How to combine these two technologies will be shown in the session.

Previous Sessions

This session targets SSAS developers that are already dealing with complex security solutions on a regular basis and want to get more insights on what actually happens inside SSAS when the different kinds of security are applied to their model.
