A common issue organizations face when developing application is data lineage.  The problem is how to correctly attribute data changes in linear fashion that correlates to current data.  Many use triggers, CDC, third party tools, or roll their own type of auditing tool.  Over time, these solutions become difficult to manage.  In SQL Server 2016, a new feature called Temporal Tables was introduced and helps to simplify this common need.  Much like the Tardis in Dr. Who, temporal tables help us to navigate the data in time and space and bring the right data into the correct dimension.  In this session, we will take a look at what temporal tables are, how they work and how you can implement them into your environment.
