Power BI offers a variety of ways to filter data. As a developer, it can be confusing to know when and where filters should be applied, how the client should be using them, or how to design them to work intuitively for the client. This presentation consists of two sections. Section one covers the filters that can be applied on import, or applied in the data model. These filters would not be filters the clients would use once published. Part two talks about the types of filters the client (or end user) would use one the report is published. Including implicit chart filters, native slicers, and custom visual slicers from the marketplace.
