Near real-time IoT Analytics of Pumping Stations in PowerBI
In this session we will show an alternative IoT analytics solution, addressing real-life issues in SCADA data and Azure. The solution analyses anonymised data from a network of 600 Waste Water Treatment Plants and 100s of Pumping Stations. We will show how we dealt with the idiosyncrasies of SCADA data, how we formulated the likelihood of spills at pumping stations, how we achieved near real-time reporting, and still produced compelling visualisations in PowerBI using various techniques. This is an end-to-end solution utilising Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Batch, C#, Azure Analysis Services, and PowerBI. At the end we will also compare the pros and cons of this solution to other real-time analytics options.
