Since becoming enamored with databases back in the 1990's, Wendy has continued to grow along with SQL Server technologies. From working in the dot-com era as an accidental DBA to today focusing on data warehouse architecture, the years have brought many opportunities to learn about several facets of Microsoft SQL Server.

Work history includes both corporate and consulting experience covering Professional Services, Legal, Retail, Healthcare and Financial industries.

A longtime member of the PASS organization, Wendy has been volunteering in the SQL Server community for over 10 years. She has held positions including co-Virtual Chapter Leader for Women In Technology, Chapter Leader for Chicago Suburban Chapter, Regional Mentor for Midwest region, SQL Saturday organizer since 2011 and currently serves on the Board of Directors in charge of Global Chapters.

Wendy is an advocate for Women In Technology, concerned with ensuring a new generation of professionals will be pursing STEM careers in the years to come. She has served on focus panels and speaks to groups of college students as well as parents of younger children to inspire their love of technology.

She also speaks frequently at SQL Saturday events in the Midwest and Great Lakes areas of the USA on topics such as Azure, Indexing, Concurrency and her personal favorite: Data Replication.
