SQL Server Enterprise Data Management
SQL Server is readily equipped with three powerful features to help you manage data in your enterprise. Join Lenni in this demo-packed session as he covers Change Data Capture (CDC), Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and SQL Server Audit.
With CDC, you can monitor and record changes in your database, without requiring any programming or resorting to triggers. CDC has many obvious uses, and it’s particularly suitable for incrementally updating large warehouses with slowly changing dimensions. Learn how to use the new CDC table-valued functions to extract all changes (or only the net changes) made between any two points in time, and analyze the change data and metadata.
Enabling TDE automatically encrypts the entire database in the background, without increasing database size, and without requiring any code. Using a combination of server certificates and database encryption keys, even backups transferred to removable media are completely protected from unauthorized access. And with SQL Server Audit, virtually any action taken by any user can be recorded for auditing in either the file system or the Windows event log.
Don’t miss out on this triple-header session!
