Luke I’m your father – Hierarchies in SQL Server

Hierarchies are the bread and butter of most business applications (departmental diagram,
product categories, sales territories, calendar, …). Markus offers insights
into best practice through typical business problems in his samples (e.g. hierarchy
through different tables, parent-child-hierarchy, datatype hierarchieID,
hierarchy as slowly changing dimension, hierarchy in LINQ and MDX, …).

    Markus Ehrenmüller-Jensen has experiences with different customers of all types concerning datawarehousing, etl, and business intelligence as project leader and trainer since 1994. He is an educated software-engineer, graduated business educator and professor for databases and project management at HTL Leonding and fully certified as MCSE and MCT Alumni. Markus speaks regularly on international conferences and writes articles for well-known journals. He works as a business intelligence architect for runtastic since 2014 and co-founded SQL PASS Austria in 2013. Markus co-organized the very first SQL Saturday in Vienna in 2014.
